BIG GIRLS PANTIES

Goodmorning all. Working an evening shift today, so I thought I would do a quick post. At the weekend, I had a bit of time on my hands and did this card for my moms 70th birthday. My mother is not a flowery sort person, and her favourite saying is "just deal with it". I would love to elaborate on the big panties thing...but I will keep that between my mother and I! I know at least, she will get the joke!!! I have used a Mo Manning download, I am in love with these. They are just so fun to colour! I ventured out with my promarkers...still need lots of practise!!! LOL, but at least I am using them. The card is very simple, just added some blue homemade paper and a bit of blue bling. Thats it for now, I will try and post tomorrow the next of my Mo Manning cards. Thanks for looking! HUGS

PINK FOR BREAST CANCER.

.

Hi folks, what a sad day this is for me today. Last night, I had to say goodbye, to my cat Stinky. We have been together for 19 years!!! She was the most faithful friend I could ever ask for. She has left a huge hole in my heart. RIP Stinky. So today, I dont feel much like going out, so I decided to catch up on a few cards. Just Magnolia has a challenge at the moment PINK FOR BREAST CANCER, which was perfect for me. A friend at work announced yesterday that she has been cancer free for three years, and I was planning to make her a card. The image and sentiment are both Magnolia, the butterfly punch is Martha Stewart, and the backing paper (not that you can see much of it, is Tim Holtz. The blooms are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts.

LOTV-Christmas

Evening all! Just a quick posting today. Another Lili of the Valley card, these images are just too cute!!! I have coloured the image with Distress inks, the backing paper and the sentiment is from Papermania - Enchanted Christmas. The snow punch at the top is a Martha Stewart, and the misteltoe and snowflake are from the Cricut - Joys of the season. Unfortunately, you cant see all the glitter on the picture but it is all sparkly! At this rate, I should soon have all my christmas cards done. And MAYBE this year, I might even get them in the envelopes before the last posting day!!!! ( a girl can always dream!)
Have a good evening all, and thanks for popping by!

LET IT SNOW

Evening folks! I am exhausted! Went back to work today after nearly two weeks off. Even worse, I have an early shift tomorrow morning again, so it's an early night for me tonight. I have made a card for the Lili Of The Valley challenge, the theme being "Let it snow".
This has got to be one of my favourite themes, as I love snow. I have used an image from their Christmas collection, coloured it with Distress Inks. I have used both Rangers pearl maker and Flower soft for the snow. The backing paper is Daisy and Dandelion's Penelope and Percy collection. The snowflakes are cut with my Cricut, Joys of the Season cartridge, and the rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

LILI OF THE VALLEY

My first Lili of the Valley card!!! I ordered my first batch of LOTV stamps last week and finally, they have arrived. This is my first attempt which I am entering into LOTV's Ideas to Inspire. I have coloured the image with Distress inks and mounted it onto Dovecrafts, Back to Basics Christmas paper. The holly branches are cut with my Cricut, Joys of the Season cartridge, which I have blinged up. On the image itsself, I have used my new favourite product, Rangers liquid pearls. The sentiment is from House Mouse.

HOUSE MOUSE CHRISTMAS

Greetings all! Today is the last day of my sickleave, so it's back to work tomorrow for me. There goes my free time!!! So you will understand that there wont be daily blogs from me in the near future. As a single mother of 4 boys and working 2 jobs, free time does not feature much in my life! For today's card, I have dusted off my House Mouse Christmas stamps, for Scoopy's challenge over at House Mouse Challenge The theme is "Sparkle on your Christmas creations." Due to the very bad light at this time of the year in Finland, and the fact that I only have a very basic camera, it is really hard to get anything to sparkle!!! However, in real life, it sure does. As usual, I OD'd with glitter! :D Both the image and the sentiment are from HOUSE MOUSE, which I have coloured with Promarkers. I realise now that those fine nib attachments are going to have to be on my next shopping list! The backing paper has embossed stars on it which sparkle, I think is from Forever Friends. The lacey edge is punched with my MS punch and I have blinged it up with half pearls and ribbon. The decorations and the stocking top are glittered with Stickles. Thanks for looking and here's wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

MAGNOLIA DOWN UNDER CHALLENGE

Good day all. Still raining and wet, but more reason to make cards. :D Today I have made a card for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge. It is in recognition of October being breast cancer awareness, and the theme is pink, white and gold. This is a cause very close to my heart, as I have had many friends suffer with the dreadful disease.

I have gone all out with Magnolia, using both background paper and two of their images. The image is stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with Distress Inks. I have then cut out the shape with my new Cricut cartridge, Lacey labels, stamped it with a text stamp in gold, and embossed it. The edges are also all edged in gold. I have used gold stickles on her halo and the wand. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the leaves puched with a Martha Stewart punch.

NAUGHTY OR NICE

Goodmorning from a cold and windy Finland. I am no big fan of autumn, I hate the dark grey days. Roll on winter and the snow!

Firstly I again want to thank Mandi, for following my blog and commenting ( at least SOMEONE is reading my blog) :D. I will try to take your tips on board!

Todays card, is one I had so much fun with. The image is a download called Xmas Hottie, from KennyK. I just LOOOOVE these images. While I was colouring on Sunday, my 8 year old had a friend here, and the two of them sat in a trance looking at the image. Eventually I had to print a few more, and he and his friend sat colouring too! Boys will be boys, no matter what the age! I would like to enter the card in the ABC Challenge, which has the theme Anything goes.

.Papers - Anita's Classic Christmas Black

.Image - KennyK

.Colouring - Promarkers

.Punches - Martha Stewart and Nesties

.Sentiment - a free download

and a bit of bling and glitter!

I hope you all have a good day and thank you for stopping by!

Sparkles and Stars

Right I am on a roll now!!! Haven't posted in forever, then two posts on one day. I am on sick leave at the moment, so suddenly find myself with time on my hands.
I have made a card that I want to enter in the Wild Orchid's challenge, Sparkles and stars. Hope you can see just how much it sparkles!!! Loads of glitter and Stickles!

REINTRODUCING MY BLOG!

Greetings one and all. It has been forever since I last blogged anything, because a. haven't been card making for ages, b. I am really useless at blogging, and c. nothing very exciting ever happens in my life! However, I am now going to attempt to be a bit more active!
Well, I am back in full swing making Christmas cards (ok, I have made 5!...but that is more than all the other cards put together that I have made this year. I am also going to attempt to enter some challenges, but I am crap at that too!
I have been very inspired by Mandis LESS IS MORE blog, and am trying to downsize a bit on my cards. (wonder if that link worked???) I am also inspired by all thos people who manage to fit LOADS of embellishments, plus ribbon, charms, flowers etc., but dont seem to get that right either, I find my cards become unballanced. So this card is inspired by the "less is more" thinking. I have stamped Tilda, and coloured her with Distress inks, cut out a scalloped oval with my nesties, and used a piece of backing paper behind her (from my stack that no longer has the packaging so dont know what its called) :D A bit of pearl maker round the edges... and thats it! I am now waiting for the glue to dry on my next card, where I actually managed to print the sentiment direct onto the card. (thanks Mandi). Well its a start.....
