Goodmorning world! Its a beautiful day here in Finland this morning. We have had heavy frost in the night, and now the sun is shining. The garden looks like someone has gone mad with glitter!!! Todays contribution, is another tealight card. Now that I am getting the hang of them, I am rather liking them! I have used and old favourite magnolia stamp, and the backing paper is Tilda from Panduro.
I have coloured the image using promarkers, but I have a LOOOONG way to go with them. I cannot get the colours to blend nicely yet. I think I have used the wrong cardstock for the imaage as it is very shiny and the ink seems to dry before I get to blend it. Oh well...more practise!
Have a good day all, HUGSx

A BOX...
Greetings from a cold wet and yuk Finland! I am soo over this weather already!!! Bring on the snow!!! Due to the fact that it was too wet to go out, I spent the day alone, in my craft room. I had this bright idea that I TOO would make a box, as I have seen so many of these pretty boxes on other peoples blogs. BIG MISTAKE!!! It took me all day, and it was hard work!!! However, after many moments of swearing, it is now finished...and I dont think I will make anymore! PMSL. There is not much to report on it. I used a fairly stiff basic white card stock for the actual box, distress the edges with walnut stain, brushed corduroy and old paper. I then covered it with note paper, which I also distressed. The sentiment is a Magnolia, stuck onto a nesties lable, the flourishes are from sizzix. The flowers are from my stash. I have used a magnetic closure on the flap, which I have glued a bead onto. I chose to use the hot glue gun on this project as it needs to be held together firmly. I am probably going to end up keeping this, as I am sure that if I place a slab of chocolate in it, the receiver would probably eat the choc and throw the box out... AND IT TOOK ME A WHOLE DAY TO MAKE IT!!!
And on that note, I want to wish you all a good week! HUGS

THINK PINK
Evening all! Well I have spent a large part of today making this card, and have loved every minute of it. I am a girlie girl, love glitter, flowers and bling. Since my last posting, I have purchased some Promarkers, and am TRYING to learn how to use them. I have looked at loads of really good tutorials...but practise, practise, PRACTISE!!! I would love to be able to tell you which coulours I have used on the card, but I have about 20 attempts of the same image, and cant remember which is which! The motivation behind my card, is the Just Magnolia Challengehttp://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/, which I could not resist, as I have a good few friends that have battled breast cancer, and I always try and support this good cause. And just a gentle reminder to all GET YOUR MAMOGRAM, breast cancer has no age limit!!!
I have made a easle card, using Daisy and Dandelion backing paper. This is exquisite, the little dots are embossed and glittered, the image is a magnolia, as is the sentiment, placed on a nesties heart. The flowers are all from my stash, cant remember where I got them from...story of my life. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch. On the inside of the card is a gorgeous sentiment that I saved on my computer after reading it on someones card years ago. My apologies to whoever that was...I cant remember that either!!! But the wording was so beautiful I had to save it. I have also attached a pink ribbon for the cause. I am planning to send this card to a dear friend who is fighting at the moment.
Hoping you are all having a lovely weekend! Enjoy the time with your loved ones, one never knows what tomorrow brings!
Take care all, HUGS xxx

TEALIGHT CARD
Greetings from a chilly Finland this morning! I was hoping to post yesterday, showing you my first tealight card...but it proved a lot more work than I anticipated!!! I now have lots of half made boxes with skew windows etc. I consider myself to be rather amazing! Only I can manage to cut skew using a paper cutter, and score scew using a Scorepal! Now thats an achievement! Anyway, enough rambling...here is what I produced...
Just for a change, I used a Magnolia image...an old favourite and I belive the sentiment is also Magnolia. I have used Daisy and Dandelion backing card ( broke my heart to cut it!!!) which I have distressed with Tumbled glass. The edge of the card is punched with a Martha Stewart punch, the snowflake is a cuttlebug, and the flowers are from my stash.
The template for the tealight box was taken from Stampartic. I can say that it was not DIFFICULT to make, but rather fiddly. I think I will make a few and use them as teachers presents etc..
Have a good day all! Finnish hugs! xxx

TILDA CHRISTMAS
Christmas card production is on full steam ahead! Here I have used another of the old Magnolia images, my favourite little friend Tilda, sitting patiently on her present. I have coloured her using Distress inks, and the fur on her coat and her wings are done in Stickles. The backing paper is from Craftworkcards, Little Boy blue collection. The snowflake is a cuttlebug and the snow trimming at the top is the same Martha Stewart punch Drippy Goo. The sentiment is from the House Mouse Christmas collection.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Joey http://http//www.joeysworldofstuff.blogspot.com/ for helping me get my blogg up and running again. Not that I have got very far, YET, but it is slowly starting to come together again! Fear not Joey, I will bug you again!!! :)
Thanks for the comments yesterday!!! Hope you all have a good day! HUGS!!!

WINTER WONDERLAND
Right, finally a card!!! :) Well I have never really been any good at this blogging business, so you will just have to bare with me. I have made a card, that I INTEND to enter into the Spoonfull of sugar challenge...if I can work out how. This is an old Magnolia image, as is the sentiment. The round GOD JUL is computer generated. I have created my own backing paper, by stamping snowflakes and embossing them in white, then coloured over them with Distress inks, in antique linen and old paper. The snowflakes are various punches I have...one is a Cuttlebug. I have made the icicle boarder at the top by punching Martha Stewarts Drippy goo out of glitter card.
Hope you all have a good day!
